The many new java scripts that creates the gradients causes the page updating in both Firefox and IE to flicker during the page transistion making navigation very irritating for the eyes.

The scripts causes the browser to clear the window, then draw the background, and then add the contents in steps. It all ends up being a flickery experience. By removing all these scripts I got the nice calm navigation we used to have in Pattern Skin.
