Detail

I do consulting for a company operating internationally. This enhancement allows users to specify the currency symbol with a preferences setting:

  • Currency symbol. Specify US$ or $ for Dollar, € for Euro, ¥ for Yen:
    • Set CURRENCYSYMBOL = €

Test existing DOLLAR (no change) :

  • $FORMAT(DOLLAR, 2, 12345) : $12,345.00
  • $FORMAT(DOLLAR, 2, 12345.6789) : $12,345.68
  • $FORMAT(DOLLAR, 2, -12345.6789) : ($12,345.68)

Test new CURRENCY:

  • $FORMAT(CURRENCY, 2, 12345) : €12,345.00
  • $FORMAT(CURRENCY, 2, 12345.6789) : €12,345.68
  • $FORMAT(CURRENCY, 2, -12345.6789) : (€12,345.68)
