I would have expected that this command
...rename/Web1/PageOne?newweb=Web2;newtopic=PageOneRenamed;confirm=on;currentwebonly=on;nonwikiword=checked
would update links in Web1 that used to point to
PageOne
so that they now point to
Web2.PageOneRenamed
.
After all, if I go through the GUI (or leave out the
newtopic
parameter) the screen I see has all links pre-selected to be updated.
Instead, the search is apparently done (enough time goes by) but the update is NOT done.
What is the purpose of the
currentwebonly
parameter if the results of the search are not acted upon?

Hi Vicky- i tried on trunk (At revision 18211)
i am bit confused about your writeup - are you saying
"Why two select options [1] Change links in topics that refer to xxxxx in the xxcurrentxx Web: [2] Change links in topics that refer to xxcurrentxx.xxxxx in any Web:" are displayed
if you go for "Rename/move topic... scans links in xxcurrentxx web only" option
The selection option [2] has cost of search operation to find links through all topics from all public webs
