Understood that the VarCache Plugin caches TWiki variables. However, if the variable is active (e.g. can be clickede) I would expect that to override the caching.

I have successfully used TREEBROWSER, for example, on a VARCACHEd page. The nodes are clickable and the hide/disclose functionality works.

However, when VARCACHE is combined with TWISTY, the behaviour is unexpected. Essentially, the TWISTYs break. Not only are they not "twistable" but the Hide and Show links appear next to each other. I've only seen this when TWISTY is confused.

This is now fixed in trunk and 4.3 branch. TWiki:Plugins/TwistyPlugin on twiki.org is updated as well.
