On a fresh install of 4.2.0, I'm seeing this error a lot when using bin/configure to install plugins:

 *Error: * Installer returned errors:
 Odd number of elements in hash assignment at tools/extender.pl line 971.

I've seen this so far on:

If I run the installers by hand, they work without producing the error message.
