Detail

There are several ways to create a new TWiki page; one is by going though the WebTopicCreator, the other is to manipulate the URL address, and lastly, the commonest type, by simply adding a link to an existing page.

Here is an example.

MyC++

I am using 4.0.3 but I have applied some fixes from 4.1.2 to try to solve the problem.

When going through methods 1 and 2, the plus signs will be marked as a problem with version 4.1.2 fixes. However, the problem still exists when just by clicking the added link (click on the link above - you will be in the edit page for page MyC++ (when it should be MyC)

I am testing it on twiki.org, so if it's meant to be fixed it should work, but it isn't.

One big problem caused by the plus sign (which may be fixed in newer version, I don't know for sure) is it messes up the move/delete feature. User tries to delete a file when there is a file with '+' in it exists on that web will cause an error message. The file still gets moved but it's causing us grief.

Please look into it, thanks.

I want to mention that if instead the link goes to the view version of the page instead of edit, the warning page would come up and prevent the page with bad name from being created.

I can confirm that even in the code for 4.2.0 we have this problem. I can create the MyC++ topic by clicking the ?-mark and that is what is saved with the plusses. If I then go to the More... screen I get a screwed up page with search code that fails.
