Detail

Wouldn't it be good to add a save icon to the toolsbar. Especially new users will appreciate it because they don't know the shortcuts yet. And you need to scroll a lot before you can save when you have a form.

Well, it could be done, but we'd have to add a save-and-continue and cancel as well; makes the toolbar rather crowded. And how would be handle the fact that the buttons are reconfigured in some skins?

If you want to give it a try, I designed some save and cancel icons for the EditRowPlugin which could be re-used.

-- TWiki:Main.CrawfordCurrie - 05 Dec 2007

If those buttons are placed in the top bar, their placement must be considered very carefully. The buttons are small by design, and can cause clicking the wrong button easily.

Also note that saving means saving the page, including the topic form.

Right now, without more feedback to indicate it is needed, i think it would be inappropriate to do this. I would rather remove buttons, not add them. Setting to no action.
