I spent far too long yeterday, ratholing on a SEARCH problem thhat was due to TWiki "thin king" egrep was in /bion when it's actually in /usr/bin.

First off, I think the inability to find egrep should be an ERROR not a warning.

But, I have to ask... TWiki is written in Perl. Perl has extended REs and egrep written in Perl will be faster that calling the system grep. Why does TWiki use the system egrep at all?
