it assumes that the web has a favicon.ico attached to WebPreferences, what does not hold for webs migrated from Cairo.

that favicon.ico should be optional.

A suggestion has been to be able to define a variable in TWikiVariables which is common to all webs - also the Cairo ones. And then you override that in WebPreferences if needed.

The annoying part if not that the icon is there. It is the flooding of the error log.

But I am reluctant to checkin such a change because for those that have attached different favicons to each web this change will go into the "PITA upgrade" category. So maybe a better alternative is to add a note to either install or an upgrade document.
