We are using the TWiki to mantain the
SaferNet Brasil
web site, it's colaborative área and more...
But, we have an big problem. We worked on the
HotLine-BR
(it fight against pedofily) some time ago and we use TWiki too. It had an open collaborative area and one day, an not cool guy, put pedofily links on his won topic. So... We decide to restrict the TWiki for edition for an TWikiGroup and the Main area need to be restricted too.
Now on SaferNet Brasil we are using the TWiki Dackar (BEAUTIFUL!) but it have
2 big problems for this case.
- We can't set the ALLOWWEBCHANGE on the Main web - I'm not sure if it is a Bug, but it never worked by this way and it's not god.
- User don't recive "Access Denied" notification and is deceived by mail - It's an bad bug...
If you send the
TWikiRegistration form you are redirected to this page:
http://www.safernet.org.br/twiki/bin/oops/Main/TWikiRegistration?template=oopsattention;def=confirm;param1=person%40mail.org
And if you put your activation code you will recive this:
Access Denied
Attention
Access check on Main.PersonTesting failed. Action
"CHANGE": access
not allowed on web.
Contact
webmaster@safernetNOSPAM.org.br if you have any questions.

It is Ok! But nobody uses this way.
99.999% of the users clik on th link recived by mail like this:
http://www.safernet.org.br/twiki/bin/register?action=verify;code=PersonTesting.1234
But in this way the TWiki tell us
"every thing is ok and the user page was created", but it's not. All data is deleted from
.../twiki/data/RegistrationApprovals
and an welcome e-mail is sended for the user.
I think this the same as
Item1526, closing. Thanks for reporting this!
